Starting With “Who”: User Research for Product & Business Development
How well do you know your customers—their everyday lives, their frustrations, their needs? If you met with your users, how would you use that time most effectively? A deep understanding of your end users is the key to building better products/services and discovering new opportunities.
Join x-lab’s United Design Center this December for a three-part workshop series to learn strategies for conducting user research and interviews. Walk away with tools and techniques you can use immediately to inform the products and businesses you’re creating.
Workshop Topics & Dates
Part 1: User research methods (12 December)
Topics include introduction to user study tools, user definition, user journey mapping, and user understanding skills.
Part 2: User interview techniques (19 December)
Topics include crafting questions, interview strategies, and interview typical steps.
Part 3: Analyzing results & finding insights(26 December)
Topics include user data collection skills, data analysis skills, and innovation opportunity exploration.
Location:Tsinghua x-lab,B1-01, Block B, P.S. Tower, Tsinghua Science Park
Target Audience: Teams in the process of developing a new product or service for the market(whether you’re in the inception/exploration, prototype, or post-launch stages).
Participants: Minimum of 2 core members from each team. Selection is competitive and will be based on the quality of your application.
