Martin Kan is a Director on the Early Stage Banking team at SiliconValley Bank (www.svb.com). For over 10 years, he has been focused on the needs of seed funded andPre-Series A companies by leveraging the bank’s resources to assist in theirdevelopment beyond providing the basic banking services. Theseefforts includes hosting programs/events, assisting in the business’infrastructure needs and sharing experiences/insights on best practices in thestart-up ecosystem. Also, he previously managed a portfolio ofventure-backed companies and has extensively underwritten credit facilities tothese companies.
Prior to SiliconValley Bank, Martin held several project management and engineering positionsat TRW (now Northrop Grumman). While at TRW, he worked on such strategicmissile projects such as MX/Peacekeeper and Minuteman III weapon systems and onvarious Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) programs.
Martin is a graduateof California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in aerospace engineering andearned his MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
